Using room darkening shades in your bedroom, allows you to get a better night?s rest and sleep in. NFPA701 certified flame retardant available upon request. Inside mount indicates that the blinds are installed within the frame of your window. For an inside mount, the window frame should have at least 2” of depth.

Outside Mount

Outside Mount For an outside mount, the shade should be 5”- 6” wider than the window frame in order to cover the window in its entirety. If your frame does not have enough depth, then the decision is easy – outside mount.

Adding side channels to your blackout shades ensures there won’t be any light gaps from the sides of your window shades. Achieve a darker room and better sleep. Ideal for nurseries. Side channels are recommended for inside-mounted roller shades only.

Smart Shades

Choose our motorized shades option and get rid of pulling cords. Motorization gives you full control of your window shades and blinds at a touch of a button. Child and pet friendly. Battery-operated shades function similarly to a cell phone; you charge the shade for 8 hours, and it will operate for 6 to 12 months. Hardwired shades connect directly to the electrical system, either by wiring directly to the motor or by plugging into a standard electrical wall outlet.

Flame Retardant Fabric

ShadeBoy blackout shades can be made to meet NFPA701 providing fire-retardant features for added safety and peace of mind. Simply request that your shades be made fire-retardant after purchase.

Minimum Outside Mounting Surface: 2″

*NOTE: For a flushed mount the minimum required inside mount depth is 3″ for window shades up to 96″ in length. For window shades over 96″ in length, 4″ of window depth is required for a flush look.

Factory Deductions

Inside mount fabric will have a deduction of 1 1/4″ made from the factory to allow the mechanism to work properly.

For total blackout we suggest adding side channels to cover light gaps on the side of the window shades.

Do not account for these deductions when measuring your windows.

Motorization Option

Motorized shades will come to you already programmed, and ready to operate.

A 1-channel remote can operate on a single frequency – One roller shade or a group of window shades.

The 5-channel and 16-channel remote allows you to operate multiple window shades or groups of window shades. We suggest having a dedicated remote control for every room.

When upgrading to multi-channel/frequency remote, please select ‘No Remote’ for any additional motorized shades you want to add to and power with it.

Add-on Smart WiFi Hub allows you to operate your motorized shade with Alexa and Google Voice Assistant.

If you get a 1/16″ or 1/32″ increment for width, round down to the nearest 1/8″
If you get a 1/16″ or 1/32″ increment for height, round down to the nearest 1/8″

ShadeBoy offers free shipping within the contiguous United States for any product under certain sizes and weight restrictions. For items over the maximum restrictions, the shipping costs will be calculated at checkout based on the shipping carrier.

3-Year Limited Warranty

ShadeBoy extends the following warranty to the original purchaser of window treatments, which are properly installed in the original window, with proof of purchase. This warranty is in addition to any warranty provided by manufacturers of products sold under brand names.

What is covered:

  • Materials, operating mechanisms (included cords and ladders) and other parts are covered for 3 years. You will be charged for replacement parts on any order that’s more than 3 years old.
  • Manufacturer defects and shipping damage (reported within 14 calendar days)
